Mazel Tov to the cast and crew of Parrot Fever!

the show opened last night. and... as I suspected, I cried.

It's amazing. The deft re-write makes a complex piece that much more complex and subtle (in the - hit you in the head with a piece of pipe, but you thank the pipe weilding maniac dearly for hitting you - way of being subtle)

and, on top of everything else... OMFG Stacy Plum!

oh yeah, I was going to post this several weeks ago, but then I forgot. last night BenLau and I were talking about the theme song from M*A*S*H... and I rememberd that in the 5th grade, when I sat next to the only person in the school taller than me, as well as the biggest crush I had had in my life up till that time, T*a#n^y!a Matthews... I (being the freak that I am) used to sing 'Suicide is Painless' under my breath in an attempt to impress upon her how cool and smart I was for knowing the words to said theme song.

and then BenLau and I gave the Elysian our babershop rendition of said theme song. absolutely not under our breath.
