So what if I can't respect any consistent rhyme Scheme

Some of y'all might remember this from me having read at a STB a couple of years ago. Frances has been being a Super Brat over the past week, so I dug this out of my chest.... now, what you may not know, is that even though she's only been MY cat since January, Frances was the inspiration for this several years ago when I dated her previous owner.

Layla bagged out for the weekend.
Left me to mine own devices, toys and couch

Decided to pick some spice into my life
Picking the colours off the cat.

Peeling the colours off the cat
Abdication of the days responsibilities.
Searching for instinct – passion - tact.

Tired of Feeling and Staring into beige
Then, Minor victory,
Learned Lesson #29, The Ephemera of Sloth

A spectroscopic handful of Electrified Dander,
The reward of offhanded investigation
Seeking notion, a muse. Thither she fleets
An emerald light down yonder steel well.

Fell, bring me some colour
Off thine prison of chaise
Made in contrast for aquamarine
Desires lacking haste

Pulling indigo out of the nap
An abyss of temptation
Five miles of comfort
On!, crank of Feline!

Picking the colours out of the cat
shards.
replacement feelings
tones and strings and tails and grasp.

All for change of seasons,
Lost back into nine - cold - WHAP!

Picked the colour off the cat.
Cranky acres of feline.
Too pissed to play with twine
Rubbing tomatoes, red belly, red back

Picking the colours off the cat
Abdication of ambition,
Frayed and frazzled bounty, Reward?
A step, marching in place on the rainbow tarmac.

Back on the couch, sated
Overdue weekend
One confused girlfriend
One bald cat.
