Family

I've been estranged from my sister for a few years now....

she suffers from schizophrenia, and was unhappy with what she saw as me showing her disrespect to her... So she claimed to have said Kaddish for me, and since then I've pretty much had nothing to do with her.

She has put my mother in the same situation.

every know and then she lobs a bomb or guilt trip my way... instead of getting into it with her, I try and move on with my life.

2 weeks ago, at 3 AM she left a voicemail on a co-workers line, inviting them to call me by her antagonistic nickname for me when we were kids.

and then this AM she emails me wanting to know if I know what happened to the furniture in our grandparents house. Apparently, the answer my father gave her was not satisfactory

My grandfather died in 1991, and the house was sold in 1992 or 1993.... ALL of the furniture was sold at an estate sale around the same time. Which is exactly what my father told her.


ugh... I'm about to get pulled into a family heirloom war that has nothing to do with me.
