Rock and Roll, the first to go is the brain

many of you might know, that between 1992 and 1997, much of my time was spent in the concert touring/lighting industry.

that's a lot of shows dude.

From scads of shows I've collected guitar picks (often easily identified with the players thanks to printing on the picks), set lists (again, easily identified), and drum sticks.

All this crap I've been keeping for sentimental reasons, or at least biding my time until such a thing as ebay was invented.

Well, now ebay's been invented, and I'm moving and needing to get rid of as much shite as I can.

all those fucking drumsticks... which back in 1995, I could easily remember at a glance who the drummer was... so confident was I in my memory, that I never marked the sticks.

Here I am, in 2003, with a pile of drumsticks belonging to some of the most famous drummers in the world... and I 've no bloody idea whatsoever how to pair Sticks with Rock Star.

my championed memory. shoody. thus rendering a considerable piece of my ebay booty worthless.

D'oH!

toys

I often attend a monthly late night cabaret known as Spin the Bottle where there is always a raffle at intermission.

The raffle items are a mix of free passes to local shows and events, and novelty items of the campy nature.

Usually, I buy 5 or 6 raffle tickets, and sometimes I even win stuff.

and here comes my dilemma, last night I was tearing through my old house packing and throwing away. I came across some of my booty from a STB raffle.... a DVD of Robin Williams' crappy movie 'Toys'.

I *REALLY* want to chuck this in the trash and never see it again, but that thought makes me feel weird... almost like I'm dissing Annex.

ah well... back to packing.

BANNED IN DENMARK AND SEATTLE!

Thanks a team of delta force commando's pretending to be theatre geek, we've gotten hold of a SGNP comic too controversial to be published.

It was thought to have been destroyed, but our brave teams of forensic data specialists laboured all night to rescue the content so the world can know the truth.

Beware, this is comic is not for the faint of heart.

really what? Will the world ever know the total of it?
Regardless, it's certainlt better than Pearl Jam bootlegs.

oh it gets better

On the oh so bad side:

Milli Vanilli (bought after the truth came out)

it's gonna come out sooner or later....

while packing up the house trying to get ready to move, the following past indiscretions have reared their ugly heads...

#1 Huey Lewis and the news "Small World"
#2 Richard Marx 's first album
#3 Fleetwood Mac, "Tango in The Night"
#4 level 42 -"World Machine"

but! to balance them out, some neglected finds that are in the player right now...

#1 Oingo Boingo - Live
#2 Slowdive -"souvlaki"
#3 Leonard Cohen "Tower of Song" (tributes album)
#4 Inxs "Underneath The Colours"
#5 Rick Miller "The Kitchen Sessions"

More to come, as I REALLY get into the nooks and crannies.
