hmmm.. I suppose and update is in order
OK, so... it seems our wildest Stargazing fantasies have come true.
Starball was the smash hit of the IPS conference in Valencia. it looks like we´ll be able to put together a sizeable US (and maybe even international) tour of the show in the spring.
HOO-FUCKING-RAY!
I´ve got to spend some time in NYC, Boston and Philly over the next month to tie the loose ends together, but unless GWB get´s us into another war or declares martial law and stargazing un-christian... this things a go.
Much of the success is due to the generousity of GianPaulo Gambato and his crew from Venice... we were only supposed to have a single slot in a portable planetarium that seats about 20 to do the show.. but the Gambato´s wanted people to come see their dome and projector on the tradeshow floor, so they BEGGED us to do as many shows as we could... Conductor and Proxy obliged, and we did 7 performances in 3 days.
so then it was off to London for a couple days of Rest, and some hang time with Keira Lee, Texas Trash turned Buddhist Clown. she´s really having a blast living in london, and we walked around for a few hours.
Herein lies the rub... I flew back to Spain this AM... reason? through J-Lynn, who seems to developed a Hedwig fetish even greater than my own, I´ve been made aware of a single week of performances by everyone´s favorite German transexual in Barcelona.
and get this....
I could not figure out how to get in touch with the producers to try and get tickets... all I had was a webpage in Spanish to giude me... so I asked Kevin Joyce (who speaks fluent spanish) to look at the web page and see if he could glean any information... so he called them and pretended to be my assistant, ¨"and would they be interested in meeting the producer of the Seattle production of Hedwig"... they are, and I am going to see the show in 3 hours.
ok, now get THIS...
The director of the show is named Abbey Robenspiel (or some semblance thereof) wild eh?
ok, this is a long post (at least for me)
if anyone want´s anything from Spain, you have about 12 hours to let me know.
hasta!
